What states require motorcycle helmets?
Motorcycle helmet laws vary by state in the United States. Currently, 19 states and the District of Columbia have laws that require all Motorcycle riders to wear helmets. These states include Alabama, California, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, and Washington. Additionally, there are 28 states that have partial helmet laws, which typically require helmets for certain riders, such as those under a certain age or those with a learner's permit. The remaining 3 states, Illinois, Iowa, and New Hampshire, do not have any helmet laws for Motorcycle riders. It's important for riders to familiarize themselves with the specific helmet laws in their state to ensure compliance and safety on the road.
